5I was amazed at the results  Mar 13, 2009 By Melissa Watts
My backyard pond has always given me trouble with severe algae. I would clean it out and the next day it was green again. I could never enjoy my fish, and many were even dying. A local pond builder recommended I try a UV light as a last resort. I did lots of research online looking for the best one, since I knew nothing about UV lights. All the reviews I read on the Pondmaster UV light were good, and it seemed like a well-built product. I liked the idea of being able to use it in or out of the water. The only question I couldn't find an answer to was how to actually set it up in my pond with my pump and waterfall. I finally found a website with some help, but I would have been more confident in buying if I had more information on installation. When I received the product I found it was very easy to assemble and install. After 4 days my pond went from deep green to pale gray, then each day it got more and more clear. After about one week my pond is clear and I am enjoying watching my fish again. I would strongly recommend this product to any pond owner. It was so easy to install, and has cut my pond maintenance down significantly. No more dumping algaecides and clarifiers in with my fish either.

3It Works But.....  Sep 06, 2005 By fernley
I bought a 20W bulb for ~2000 gallon pond. It has been running a couple of weeks and the water is clearer, but not clear. Perhaps the bulb included was not up to par. My biggest beef is that the enclosed set up diagram was completely wrong. You will need to attach a 3/4" fitting on the light housing to the 1" inside diameter of the 1 1/4" hose from a typical pond pump. You will need two sets of 3/4" to 1" nalgene fittings and two-3/4" and two-1" hose clamps.

2Bought new, got used one  Sep 08, 2010 By thanh
I bought the pondmaster 02920 as a new item. However, when
i received the shipment, it's a used one. I can clearly see
some minor scratches on the surface. The UV light has some
kind of plague at the connector end. Also, the packing was
loose.
I am really disappointed with this type of service from amazon.

5Wish I had purchased this 20 years ago  Aug 06, 2013 By John A. Fiedler
We have a 2000 gallon koi pond that is fed from a biological filter 18 feet higher than the pond and the water flows down hill through a dozen smaller ponds, altogether another 1000 gallons. It took me years to find the right combination of barley straw and algaecide to keep the water acceptably clean. I had read about ultra-violet clarifiers but could not figure out how to integrate one into my system. This year Idaho has had unprecedented heat, many 100+ degree days and I could not keep the algae under control. Given Amazon's return policy, I figured I had nothing to lose by trying the PondMaster 02920. I have a small submersible pump I use to empty the hot top. I hooked a short piece of 1" ID hose between the UV light and the pump and dropped it into the pond which is about 4' deep. Three days later the water was gin-clear, never had it been this clean. I love this product; don't wait to buy it if you have an algae problem.

5I can see my fish !!!!  Jun 06, 2014 By Rain
I shopped around for awhile before I bought this ,it's awesome my pond has been up and running for a year always battled with the algae but not anymore ,my water is crystal clear now and I live in Las Vegas .You shouldn't have a pond without a uv clarifier and this one has been working great, I'm really impressed and my pond is 10x13 feet and 18 -22 inches deep. Wish I would've bought one a year ago but I'm a new pond owner so I'm still learning as I go along. It's a good purchase:-)
